Skończyłem czwartą już sekcję bojową Palestyńczyków. Postanowiłem że będzie ona reprezentowała bardziej regularne oddziały OWP/LFWP, umundurowane i w miarę jednolicie wyekwipowane. Oczywiście jednolitość uzbrojenia i umundurowania jak na warunki wojny domowej w Libanie.
Oddziały takie stanowiły między innymi garnizon Beirutu
I have finished another Palestinian combat group. I've decided that it should represent regular troops of PLO/PFLP - uniformed and relatively regularly equipped. Of course they are uniformed and have unified equipement according to standards of the Lebanese civil war.
Such troop were part of Beirut's garrison.
Co ciekawe w libańskiej wojnie domowej całkiem często brały udział również kobiety. Z dokumentacji fotograficznej wynika, że w siłach Palestyńskich organizowano nawet mieszane grupy bojowe. Również w milicjach Druzów oraz Falandze występowały oddziały, wydaje się już typowo kobiece.
What's interesting, women often participated in clashes in Lebanon. It is clear from photo evidence that in Palestinian forces there were even mixed groups of male and female fighters. Also in Druze and Phalanx militias there were squads composed of women.
Kobiety walczyły nawet, wbrew rozpowszechnionemu na zachodzie stereotypowi kobiety ubezwłasnowolnionej przez islamskich radykałów, po stronie ugrupowań szyickich. Jak się okazuje wojna sprzyja emancypacji i równości płci (nie zalecam oczywiście takiego sposobu wprowadzania zmian).
Women were fighting also in Shia militias what breaks stereotype of woman that is incapacitated by islamists. It appears that war promotes emancipation and equality of sexes (of course I'm far of promoting such ways to promote these aims).

Zdecydowałem że teraz kolej na jeszcze jedną grupę regularną oraz jakieś wsparcie w postaci broni ciężkiej, technikala oraz snajperów.
I've decided that now it's time for another regular group and some support such as heavy weapons section, snipers, and technical jeep.
