First game of this year - Chain of Command. With few friends we ghad an opportunity to play a skirmish between US and German patrols.
View of the battlefield with marked entry points. Infantry and vehicles enter up to 6 inches from these point. Entry points are placed after patrol phase. It is a great quality of the CoC because game does not starts with many phases of movenment by forces that are far away from each other.
First infantry sections placed on the battlefield. US infantry behind walled farmhouse, Germans on the field, also behind the wall. Placing units takes place after D6 command rolls. Results may be used to issue commands to various units.
Next unit placed by the US forces was a 60mm mortar.
US infantry section enters the farm. In second move it will enter the building. CoC introduces some ucertainity because if a player rolls double 6 in his command rolls, he rolls again and may issue orders again.
