Po przeczytaniu jednego z ostatnich numerów Wargames Illustrated zdecydowałem się na kolejną armię - Asyryjczyków. Pierwszy pomalowany przeze mnie element to elitarni włócznicy - gwardia królewska. Głównym uzbrojeniem tych wojowników jest włócznia. Są opancerzeni, mają na sobie łuskowy pancerz oraz charakterystyczne długie tarcze.
After reading one of recent issues of Wargames Illustrated I've decided to start another army - Assyrian. First painted stand represents a unit of elite spearmen, royal guards.
The main weapon of these warriors is a spear. They also have armour and characteristic long shields.
Figurki to Old Glory 10mm. Według mnie nieco niższej jakości niż Magister Militum, ale po pomalowaniu dają radę.Figures are Old Glory 10mm. In my oppinion they are not as good as Magister Militum figures but after being painted are OK.

Yes :) couldn,t resist to make something of chariot wars era.
Of course I will also make army of their enemies - Egyptians. I already bought some units. They will not be as big as my older armies but still enough to play a decent scenario.
It's very, very interesting army and historical period. I'm glad you're starting a new project :)
