Jak widać w środku zdjęcia Sasanidzi musieli się cofnąć (po drugiej rundzie walki, więc Partowie zdecydowali się ich nie ścigać).
Sassanid heavy cavalry overestimated its power. It was weakened by shooting of horse archers supporting Parthian cataphracts. Fighting was intense and thanks to initial impetus Sassanids nearly managed to wipe out cataphracts on camels (that lost two stands). However they've suffered much heavier loses, loosing one entire unit and one stand from the other.
As it can be seen in the centre of the photograph Sassanids had to retreat 9after second round of fighting so Parthians decided not to pursue).

On the left wing Parthian horse archers advanced to concentrate fire on elephants. They managed to destroy one stand and force elephants to retreat.

Sassanids screened their elephants with infantry and horse archers so wisely that Parthians had to divide their firing.
