I didn't manage to publish on my blog all the photos from the battle between Romans and Sassanids before my holidays. Now I apologise and without further introduction correct this mistake.
Roman veteran legionaries and auxilia with slingers. It came out that veterans were not eager to fight on this day (probably they were negotiating their pay).
Auxilia - eager to fight but unlucky, is met with storm of arrows and sling projectiles, suffering first loss of stand.
Sassanid left in action - horse archers reaching the hill.
Rzymskie centrum - szarża legionów i auxilii na sasanidzką piechotę i procarzy. Następuje masakra.
Roman centre - auxilia and legions attack Sassanid infantry and slingers. Massacre takes place.
On Sassanid left wing roman cavalry charges archers and wipes them out but not without suffering loses. Roman slingers ossupy the hill after pushing horse archers out of it.
